Blogging Instead of Homework, YAY!!!

Well I have decided that the first draft of my paper is not worth all of stress of cramming. I have one gimme assignment for my class and this paper is going to be it. I need to get some input from my classmates and maybe my teacher too.

My teacher made a point to mention that this paper shouldn't be a narrative and now my brain can't think about anything else. I have this block that says "now don't write in a narrative format...". Maybe helping someone else evaluate their paper tonight will help me decide which direction to take.

Today has been an interesting day. I have felt very scattered. It's almost like my brain is off in a land far, far away...maybe it is!! That explains it all!!! Is it too early for me to already be ready for Spring Break?!

Oh, I just had a thought... I know why today has been weird, it is a leap day!! Wow..the leap day has affected my brain in interesting ways! Mainly I have been forgetting simple things. Things that I shouldn't be forgetting. Needless to say, I've had quite a few "duh" moments. lol Or would those be blonde moments?! LOL Maybe a little bit of both.

Well I have rambled on long enough...and I have to get to class. Wish me luck! ;)

You've Been Punk'd...

Okay not really...lol But I did have some fun with my outfits and looks this week. I performed a little experiment for my next English paper. My next paper is supposed to be an analysis. I was told to break a "social norm", which is basically just doing something different, and writing about the reactions that I got. Sorry co-workers and Facebook friends but you were my guinea pigs.

Thursday I dressed up in a formal dress to go to work. I made sure to really dress up so I did my hair, changed my makeup and made it look like I was ready for a date.

On Friday, I flipped 180 degrees and had a look inspired by Avril Lavigne, ratty hair with a little bit of red flair, dark eye makeup and bright red lipstick.

It was funny to see some of the reactions that people had on both days. However everyone really surprised me. I had really expected that I would get some sort of negative reaction to my look on Friday but I didn't.

To my friends who knew about my outfits this week, what did you really think? It's okay to be completely honest. To the rest of you, what would you think if someone came to work in either outfit?! I want every ones opinion. :)

The Nail Files

Ok as most of you know I love to paint my nails and do nail art. This is my first time linking up with the nail files but I HAD to share my nails for the week. One of my Facebook friends had challenged me to do an Angry Bird nail design and so of course I had to try it! 

With a little help from some a Konad stamp and a makeshift dotter I think I achieved this look really well! Here is my cute nail design for the week. :) 

I painted all of my nails light blue, then designed the little pig and the angry bird. Those were both fairly easy because it is just a lot of dots. It would've been super easy if I had actual dotting tools but the back end of a small paintbrush works too! ;) Once the critters were done I added the clouds. The clouds are Konad stamp plate M79 and they were super, super cute!! 

I got the pig and bird design ideas from Cute Polish on youtube. The gal who does these videos always has super cute designs and she always makes everything easy, and simple enough for beginners to follow. I will link the tutorials below. I hope you will try this out because it was super fun and I got a lot of compliments too! :)

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

WOW has it really been that long since I've blogged?! Sorry guys I will honestly try to blog more. I have been spending the past few weekends with my friend Julie cuz she is moving away. But now I am just making excuses...lol Well, tonight I told myself, "I'm at my computer I'd better blog" cuz you miss me and I miss you too. LOL Anyway, I swagbuck searched "Blogger" and, as a bonus, I got 33 Swagbucks!!! Woo Hoo!! Now I get to write a rambling blog post AND I got 33 Swagbucks, how awesome is that?!?!?!! LOL

I do want to share the card that my hubby got me for our Valentineaversary (wow a new word - hope ya'll can read it! lol) Yes, that does mean that today is also our Anniversary, 8 years - I can't believe it! It's a really cute card and it came in a very, very, Very big envelope! LOL

 

 He also got me another card that was equally big but so very sweet, it almost made me cry. I hope everyone had a great Valentine's day. Whether you have someone special or not you guys mean the world to me. For those who have someone special but may be apart from them today just remember that doesn't matter if you are near or far that someone special loves you.

I get to spend one more weekend with Julie and then I promise to blog more. I really do miss blogging. I know who would'a thought Miss "Doesn't have anything to blog about" would miss blogging. But I do. So until then keep being awesome!! I'll be back... ;) (You so know you just read that in the Terminator voice...I know I said it that way as I wrote it...lol)
