Oh, For the love of Nail Polish!

Those of my followers who are also my friends on Facebook, just May have noticed that I am really having a lot of fun with painting my nails lately. One of my friends, Jill, recently said that she didn't know I was so into painting my nails. The honest truth is that it is a fairly new found love. I mean I've always liked painting my nails, what girl doesn't, but the love of decorating my nails is a completely new concept and a slight addiction of mine.

About a year ago I broke myself of the habit of biting my nails which was wonderful, I had really hated that habit. And on the plus side, I ended up with pretty and long nails. Anyway, the only way I was able to break the habit was to keep my nails painted at all times, because who likes to eat nail polish?! Not me, ick :P So painting my nails on a regular basis was the "norm" for me. But if I remember right, this new nail decoration love is tied closely with Pinterest. Because earlier this year, when I first really got into Pinterest, I kept seeing all of these pretty new nail colors and designs that people would pin and I thought "I could do that!". At almost the same time, my friend Julie, was seeing all of the same ideas on Pinterest and our addictions were born. Now, whenever we get together for a girl's night, painting our nails is on the "to do" list. :)

I have done several designs over the past few months and they have all been a lot of fun! Here are some designs that I've done.

American Flags for the 4th of July

Gryffindor Dress Robes for Harry Potter Part 2

Watermelons for Summer

Doctor Who concept Art just for fun - yes I am THAT geek ;)

Splatter nails just for the experience (and for the high...just kidding ;) LOL)

and...Candy Corn in honor of the first few days of October

All of these were a blast to do and I am so excited for the rest of this month! I have such cute ideas for October, rolling around in my head. Everything from Jack O Lanterns and Frankenstein to cute ideas for my 50's Halloween costume!! I can't wait! Now that I have all of my ideas for October, it's time to start thinking about November designs. I think I will need to invest in a brown, because you can't have November without Turkeys. ;)
