Some of my Favorites...

Today I thought I would share some of my favorite blogs. It has taken some time for me to get into blogging and following blogs. Honestly, I still have a hard time checking blogs unless they come straight to my email. LOL But here are a few of my favorites

Real Men Don't Measure - This is my hubby's blog. He is currently taking culinary classes and plans on starting a Catering business one day.

Grits and Gadgets - My friend Jill's blog. Life has been busy and she hasn't gotten the chance to write lately. But I still love it! :)

Jewely Bug - My friend Julie. I love her blog, she always finds the most fun link ups and it gives me great inspiration for my own blog! :) (Yes I tend to steal...I mean borrow ideas from her. lol)

Chloe's Nails - Chloe's Nails is the first nail polish blog I followed. I found her designs through Pinterest and fell in love.

The PolishAholic -This is one that is very dangerous for me. I have them send updates to my email and I find that I want every single color!! They are having a giveaway right now btw. Click HERE for details.

 Polish Art Addiction - This is other dangerous, yet inspiring, blog. It is also sent to my email and she is amazingly talented!!


So, there are a few of the blogs that I follow. I would love to hear about your blogs. But remember, I need a "Subscribe By Email" option to truly remember to follow your blogs...LOL

Bookworms My Favorite!!

So I must say, in the past I have really not been much of a bookworm. I really liked to read when I was a kid and the books were easy, but I kind of let it fall to the wayside as I got older. (Mainly because I am usually a really slow reader.) But when Twlight came out I breezed through them and then one of my friends told me that I HAD to read the Harry Potter books. (I had been perfectly content just watching the movies...lol) In short, I loved them!! That same friend, Ms Jill, has encouraged me to read other books too and for that I am very grateful.

I have an account on Goodreads.com and am taking their reading challenge this year. I want to read 50 books by the end of 2012. Now 50 may or may not be a lot to you, but I think it is a good start for me. Who knows maybe I'll read more than 50! Are you taking the reading challenge? If not, would you like to take that challenge with me?! You don't need to read 50 books, but it would be fun to know who is taking the reading challenge.

Just a few tips, if you do take the reading challenge, the Kindle app is Awesome!!! And also the group Pixel of Ink on Facebook finds free books on Amazon and posts them a few times a day.

O How I Miss You!!

So it turns out that even though I have a blogger app with me at all times, I still can't seem to blog. School starts up this week for our college which means last week was crazy busy plus I am still not feeling up to par. So by the time I got home last week I really didn't want to do anything except veg. Since I got my iPod Touch I have been watching more Netflix. I love that I can just lay down, plug my iPod into it's little speaker dock and watch whatever I want! During the week or so before my birthday I watched all of the Vampire Diaries again. I really do love that show! And now I have started watching Glee. :) I must say, I am really liking it! Maybe not the drama so much (however I think that is growing on me too) but I LOVE the music!! Once I'm done with Glee, I am going to move onto One Tree Hill and maybe a few others. My friend Jill likes those and I've never watched them, so I'll give them a try too and broaden my horizons! ;)

All that being said, I do miss blogging. I love that I can just come on here to express myself  and have a few people listen. I really am going to try and log on here more. Julie always has these fun link ups that I want to do and I am just going to do them!! :) Hopefully you will see more of me soon! My hubby and I do start class this week, which means my nights are going to be free but it also means that I'm taking the bus home. So we'll see how much energy I have by the end of the day. lol :)
